It might seem strange that I get excited about colors, typography, and layout, but my passion for all aspects of graphic design and art have stayed strong since childhood. My personal journey as an adoptee has deepened my compassion, empathy and visual sensitivity. I draw inspiration from my surroundings, especially in overlooked and undervalued places; thriving on finding creative solutions within the parameters of simple and elegant designs. Through the language of visual arts, I found a way to communicate with the world around me. Respecting and trusting the design process is essential to my philosophy as a designer.
From package design, event collateral and book hinge restructure to illustrations, I am experienced in a wide array of projects and roles. My multidisciplinary design sensibilities allow me to effectively work with a project in multiple dimensions, mediums, and platforms. Adaptability is one of my strengths, which I employ regularly when working with an established style and brand.
Even with a degree in graphic design and visual communication, I plan to be a lifelong student of design; discovering new techniques and creative fields. At present, Iām learning UI and UX design while exploring digital illustration and photography. Building a personal brand and style is my current project, but ultimately my life goal is to create purposeful, impactful and well-crafted designs.
